@nawi Yep. That's true.

It was also a "first" as far as Mindanao history and records are concerned. Atleast four M6+ earthquakes, it's baffling the experts from local to abroad. There are foreign agencies also studying the area.

Post #iBlog15 #podcast session. This was the last #iBlog #Philippines event and in this podcast where I was a guest, we discussed what we learned and the memories we had.

Thanks Jay Agonoy and Mike Abundo!

@nawi For now. Our local agency warned that it may not be over as it appears to be coming from a fault line not yet discovered. They're currently trying to find the fault line and monitoring the quakes around.

It was because of location-based #games that I became from being #health conscious into #fitness conscious. #LifestyleChange

@ssora That's correct. In two other studies I read a few months ago, they found out that small quakes were usually related to an incoming M6+ earthquake. It's just a matter of when.

It also destroyed the myth that small quakes are good because "it's releasing the tension" but clearly what it does is put more tension somewhere else.

"Ibig sabihin lang nito [what this means], aside from being related, probably one fault may be triggering the other faults that essentially produce this major event,” Narag said in an interview on Dobol B sa News TV.

Well, if you name it "hagibis" (Tagalog word meaning intense speed or velocity) then what do you expect?

Very good ones. But I'd like to point out three key things here: "leaderless", "decentralised", and "encryption".

Didn't I say this years ago? We can tell, there is a pattern. We just need to open our minds and understand how to identify and read those patterns. It doesn't necessarily mean whenever there are small quakes or swarms of it does it mean a larger one or the big one is coming. However, dismissing these things just because is not moving our understanding of earthquakes forward.

Finally, the experts are starting to see the patterns.
