Note that they are symbols of an alphabet, though.

The software doesn't "see" the text, it just transforms a sequence of #Unicode points to another sequence of Unicode points (which is still a big deal, but it's not what your post suggest).

In a way, translating those digits IS way simpler than translating the surrounding text from #Persian, isn't it?

@masoud FWIW, Google Translate seems to get it right (I assume the error here is that it was meant to say 2.8)
