I wrote a blog post about moral considerations in designing technology. I give two specific examples from Mastodon: the recent removal of hashtag trends and the lack of notification counts in the web interface.
I do not necessarily agree with such feature-removals, but I'm very glad that "moral bug-report" is a thing with Mastodon developers 😀​
