This is America. So much buzz. But I think folks are missing the references to Michelle Alexander's attack on hip-hop in The New Jim Crow. She says that the fetishization of the criminalblackman stereotype in rap will one day be regarded as modern day minstrel shows. Feels like Glover agrees, or has at least thought about it.
